Speaking to reporters after the clinching of the comprehensive nuclear deal, Wang said the modification of the Arak reactor was one of the core issues in the nuclear negotiation.
Wang said there had been a preliminary road map of the modification of the heavy water reactor tabled, saying there would be a joint working group on the modification which would be co-chaired by China and the United States.
As China has put forward the idea of the modification of the Arak heavy water reactor, China would promote this process while enhancing communication with Iran, Wang said, adding this was the unique role China played in resolving the Iranian nuclear issue, Wang told reporters.
