VIENNA - China's envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Wednesday said parties involved in the Iranian nuclear talks have a strong will to reach an agreement, and come closer in overall thinking on addressing the issue.

"Both the P5+1 and Iran have demonstrated a strong political will to reach such an agreement, accelerated the pace of the talks and come closer in their overall thinking on addressing thorny issues," Cheng Jingye, China's envoy to IAEA said in the agency's board meeting.

The world 6 major states and Iran are holding intensive negotiations in Geneva, trying to meet the self-imposed end March deadline.

Western states have long suspected Iran of developing nuclear weapons under cover of its civilian nuclear plan, however, Iran said Tehran has no intention to develop nuclear bombs.
