US Treasury Under Secretary to visit China

WASHINGTON - Under Secretary for International Affairs Lael Brainard will be in Beijing June 26-27 for meetings with China's senior economic officials, the US Treasury Department announced Wednesday.
The discussions are part of the Obama administration's continuing bilateral engagement on economic issues of importance, the department said in a statement.
"While there, Under Secretary Brainard will discuss with her counterparts preparations for the upcoming meeting of theUS-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue, which will be held in Washington, DC during the week of July 8", the statement said.
