Polls close in Venezuela's presidential elections

CARACAS - Polling stations of Venezuelan presidential elections were closed Sunday after voters cast their votes to choose the successor to late President Hugo Chavez.
The polling stations opened at 6:00 a.m. local time (1030 GMT) and closed at 6:00 p.m. (2230 GMT). Final results are expected to be released in a few hours' time by the National Electoral Council.
