Anastasiades wins Cyprus presidential election

NICOSIA - Nicos Anastasiades, president of the right wing Democratic Rally (DISY) party, has won Cyprus' presidential elections with 57.48 percent of the vote, according to the final result annouced by the electoral commission on Sunday.
He received 236,965 votes in Sunday's run-off election.
His rival Stavros Malas backed by ruling AKEL party secured 42.52 percent of the vote.
