Sirhan Sirhan, 66, a Jordan-born immigrant who is serving a life sentence and has lived behind bars for 42 years, once again lost his freedom bid before a parole board Pleasant Valley State Prison in Coalinga, California. He was convicted in April 1969 for the murder of Robert F. Kennedy, brother of late president John F. Kennedy.

Kennedy was 42 years old when he was fatally shot at close range in the kitchen of the now-shuttered Ambassador Hotel on June 5, 1968, right after he declared victory in the Democratic presidential primary in California. Five other people were shot, but survived.
