Sun Guoxiang, consul general of China in New York, attended a ceremony at the Empire State Building on Wednesday in honor of Chinese New Year 2014, which is the year of horse according to Chinese Zodiac Calendar.
"This year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the US. We are happy to see our relationship has become broader and deeper." Sun said at the opening remarks.
Beginning at sunset on New Year's Eve, the Empire State Building's world-famous tower lights will dazzle the New York City skyline with a vibrant, red and gold lighting, showcasing the dynamic special effects of the landmark's LED tower lights.
