'The Charm of Xinjiang' photo exhibition kicked off in NYC

An exhibition entitled "The Charm of Xinjiang" kicked off at the Asian Cultural Center in Manhattan Friday evening. Organized by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and the New York consulate, the exhibit showcased the beauty of Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region. Sun Guoxiang, China's consul general in New York, says he hopes such exhibition will introduce to the audience the locals' customs and life styles. The exhibition will run through Nov 23.
