COSCO received shipping industry leadership Award
Wei Jiafu, chairman of China Ocean Group, has recently received the shipping industry leadership Award at the 2012 Trans-Pacific Maritime Conference after delivering the keynote speech on March 5 in California.
For 2012, Wei holds high expectations for the maritime industry based on the performance of the Chinese and US economy. The Chinese economy has steadily grown while the US economy grew by 2.4 percent in the fourth quarter of 2011, and is expected to grow by three percent in 2012.
