"Bazaar" is a word that's said to originate from Persian. It means a covered marketplace where goods and services are exchanged.
The Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar is the largest bazaar in the world by scale, combining Islamic culture, architecture, ethnic commerce, tourism and entertainment. It is also one of the most famous landmarks of Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
China Daily reporter Feng Xin takes you to get a taste of the grand bazaar.
