US spy chief in Seoul for talks on Pyongyang

SEOUL - The US Director of National Intelligence James Clapper is in Seoul and has met with the Republic of Korea's (ROK) top officials over issues related to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), a local report said Friday.

Clapper, who arrived here last weekend, has met with foreign minister Kim Sung-hwan, defense minister Kim Kwan-jin and head of the National Intelligence Service, Won Sei-hoon, according to Yonhap News Agency.

Officials are expected to discuss top DPRK leader Kim Jong-il's recent visit to China and other issues concerning the country, according to Yonhap.
