Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau recently held an exhibition and business forum in Beijing to show how the Thai exhibition industry developed over time.
Jaruwan Suwannasat, director for the bureau's exhibitions and events department, said that China is the most important market for them, with an income of 106.78 billion Thai baht ($3.2 billion) expected this year from Chinese conference-related activities in Thailand.
According to the bureau, Thailand will continue to be a significant venue for Chinese businesspeople in their bid to explore the international trade market through its five iconic industries — food and agriculture, automobiles, energy, infrastructure and health and hygiene.
To ensure the success of global business events, the bureau offers services such as contacting government officials and enterprises, and exhibition consultations, among others. The Chinese partners will enjoy customized services including at airports and subsidies for groups of professional buyers.
