The SantaPark of Chengdu will feature attractions on 13,000 square meters based on the original design of SantaPark in Rovaniemi in northern Finland, including Santa Claus's Office and Santa Claus' Main Post Office.
The project is a joint endeavor between by local developer Chengdu Floraland Tourism Investment and Finnish attraction specialist Lappset Group and Santa Park, operator of the "Official Home of Santa Claus" in Lapland.
Upon completion in 2016, the Christmas-themed attraction will be one of the biggest amusement parks in China, and will be run in the same way as Santa's home in Rovaniemi.
Rovaniemi is the official home town of Santa Claus, where Christmas is celebrated every day of the year.
