The Temple of Heaven was built in the fourteen hundreds for the purpose of honoring both heaven and earth. The emperor reigning at the time was in charge if carrying out matters on earth on behalf of the powers above.
Xi’an houses the Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. The terracotta army are life sized clay warriors and horses molded to guard the dead emperor’s tomb in other to provide protection for him in the afterlife. Each warrior has its individual feature. The buried warriors and horses were found in 1974.
