Chinese Yu voted IOC vice president

SOCHI - Chinese Yu Zaiqing was elected to fill a vacant position as International Olympic Committee vice president in the IOC session on Friday.
The 62-year-old Yu, an IOC member since 2000, had been on the IOC executive board from 2004-12 and a vice president from 2008-12.
Yu's VP spot was vacated by Thomas Bach after his election as IOC president in September.
The other vice presidents are Nawal El Moutawakel of Morocco, Craig Reedie of Britain and John Coates of Australia.
