Retired Olympic diving champion Guo Jingjing has given birth to her first baby with Kenneth Fok Kai-kong, the eldest son of tycoon Timothy Fok, in Hong Kong.
"Jingjing and the baby, weighing 3.3 kilograms, are safe and sound," Kenneth blogged on Sina Weibo at 12:24 on Tuesday, adding his gratitude to medical workers, relatives and friends. He also expressed the joy of the whole Fok family at the baby's birth.
News reports a week earlier revealed the baby, the first fourth-generation born to the wealthy Fok family, reportedly worth 100 billion yuan ($20.9 billion), and Guo may receive a separate property worth 100 million yuan after the birth.
Guo, 32, tied the knot with Fok, 34, in Hong Kong on Nov 7 last year after eight years of dating.
The Chinese diving queen retired in 2011 after she bagged four Olympic gold medals and eight world titles.
