RIO DE JANEIRO - Five days after playing in his farewell match with the Brazilian national soccer team against Romania, star striker Ronaldo revealed on Sunday that he is unlikely to participate in a farewell match with Corinthians.

Ronaldo cited that he is still in pain after playing in the friendly against Romania, in which he played only 15 minutes. Due to the physical pain, Ronaldo stated that he has no intention of playing in another farewell match for the fans of Corinthians.

Ronaldo previously was honored at Corinthians, but did not play in a farewell match. The president of Corinthians soccer club, Andres Sanchez, has repeatedly stated that he wants to put on a match to honor Ronaldo in a farewell game from Corinthians.

Sanchez claims that he has a list of games for Ronaldo to participate in, staging a sort of farewell tour throughout Brazil. However, Ronaldo claims that his life as a professional soccer player is over.

He now intends on dedicating his time, efforts and energy towards sporting agency. Ronaldo officially announced his retirement from soccer on February 14 after Corinthians' early and disappointing elimination from the 2011 Libertadores Cup.
