Comment on "Can you live without the Internet? " (China Daily website, Aug 18)
It seems the Internet has become one of the "best" friends of the human race. To the question, whether I can live without it or not, my answer would probably be, "I am not sure".
But like a coin, everything has two sides. If one side is positive, the other has to be negative. Surfing the Internet for long hours can turn a person into an addict and cause harm to his/her eyes. It can also disturb students' learning schedules and keep people away from face-to-face interaction. On the other hand, the Internet is a treasure trove of information and has made life very convenient.
Perhaps we should pose the question in another way: Can you minimize the use of the Internet in your daily life? My answer then would definitely be "yes".
