Comment on "Racism against China hurts Australia" (China Daily, Aug 27)
I am an Australian, now living and working in China (Zhuhai, Guangdong province), and I am disgusted and embarrassed by the stupid, racist and thoughtless comments of Mineralogy owner Clive Palmer. But I am pleased to see he has apologized. Many others would not have, and do not.
Palmer has been very successful in business. But he thinks he can say whatever he wants to about Australia as if he were running a board meeting. He certainly does not represent most Australians or me.
I apologize to the Chinese people for his racist remarks.
