Comment on "Citizenship issue more than storm in a teacup" (China Daily, Dec 1)
With the world becoming increasingly globalized, we should get used to the idea of people settling down in other parts of the world for one reason or the other. The problem is that in China migration seems still a one-way traffic. It is very difficult for foreigners to get Chinese citizenship. That's why the envisaged legal changes to make it easier for foreigners to get a permanent residence permit are a big leap forward.
