Yang Yiming, an associate professor with the University of Chinese Academy of Science shows the sample of the cheese dating back 3600 years. The cheese was found among the funeral objects in an ancient tomb in Tarim Basin in northwest China’s Xinjiang Autonomous Region. It was identified as the oldest cheese found in the world.
