A Wedding Invitation, a romantic comedy co-produced by China Film Group and South Korean CJ Entertainment, tries to reprise the glory of Love is not Blind, the most commercially successful movie in 2011 in China.
The film stars Bai Baihe, the lead actress of Love is not Blind, which grossed 330 million yuan ($52.4 million) with a budget of only 9 million yuan.
She and Taiwan heartthrob Eddie Peng play a couple involved in a 10-year relationship in A Wedding Invitation. The storyline, similar with Love is not Blind, is also about lovelorn youngsters. The film will be released on April 12.
