Heidi Klum has "moved on" from her marriage to Seal.
The supermodel split from the singer after seven years of marriage in January and is now rumoured to be dating her bodyguard, Martin Kirsten, after they were pictured getting close in Sardinia, Italy.
She said in a statement to People magazine: "I cherish all of the great memories Seal and I created together over the years. Our separation was based on issues between the two of us.
"Seal has moved on and so have I. My priority has and continues to be protecting and providing for our children."
Seal, 49, appeared to slam Heidi - with whom he raises Leni, eight, Henry, six, Johan, five, and Lou, two - by accused her of "fornicating with the help" at the weekend, but today (03.09.12) sought to set the record straight on his statement.
A spokesperson for the star said: "Seal would like to clarify that he was not implying his wife was cheating on him while they were together.
"But rather he was pointing out that they are separated and the divorce is not final so they are legally still married."
Seal has also criticised his former partner for not "showing class" in romancing her bodyguard.
He said: "That's what happens when two people separate, they move on and generally meet other people in their lives.
"Whilst I didn't expect anything better from him [the bodyguard], I would of thought that Heidi would have shown a little more class and at least waited until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were."
