The 'Baby' hitmaker recently revealed he wants to start a celebrity football team and have David coach it but the veteran player insisted he wants a starring role instead of standing on the sidelines.
When asked by Hollyscoop.com if he wanted to coach the team, David replied: "Would I want to be the coach? I'd want to play!"
However, he may not be allowed on the team as Justin revealed his will be strictly for younger celebrities.
He previously said: "I've been playing a lot of soccer over the last two or three years. I've been really enjoying it.
"I know there's an LA celebrity team that Robbie Williams was in, but I am looking to start a team for the younger guys. The One Direction guys said that they'll play and also Lil Bow Wow.
"There's only one guy we want to coach the team and that is David Beckham.
"It's not like we will be playing a game every week. It will, in reality probably only be about three or four games a season."
Justin added that his girlfriend Selena Gomez as well as David's wife Victoria Beckham could also get involved in his project.
"I was going to ask my girl Selena and Victoria if they wanted to be cheerleaders for us. But hey, that might be pushing it."
