Eva Longoria enjoyed a low-key early birthday dinner with friends on Tuesday (13.03.12).
The 'Desperate Housewives' star - who recently split with Penelope Cruz's brother Eduardo after just over a year of dating - dined with seven pals including 'Entourage' actor Kevin Connolly, 'Extra' presenter Mario Lopez and his fiancée, Courtney Mazza, at Cut by Wolfgang Puck at the Beverly Wilshire hotel.
While the group shared appetizers, petite Eva - who turns 37 today (15.03.12) - ate a healthy main course of butter lettuce salad with olive oil as her friends tucked into steaks and scallops, according to the New York Post newspaper.
Eva has already begun to receive birthday wishes on twitter from a number of friends including 'Desperate Housewives' co-star Vanessa Williams.
Vanessa wrote: "@EvaLongoria Happy Birthday fellow Piscean! Last year was flappers & gangsters. What it gonna be this year? (sic)"
Perhaps Eva's celebrations are muted this year because she is nursing an injured leg.
The star recently tweeted a picture of herself in her dressing room with her feet up and a towel over her right photo with the caption: "Resting on set putting ice on my foot, hurt it dancing on set!"
