Top cops compete for televised glory |
Yunnan Satellite TV partnered with armed police to release a reality show on Feb 7.
Soldiers' Sortie brings 100 top soldiers from around the province to take part in a competition of physical and mental prowess.
All of the soldiers are younger than 22. They will face more than 40 challenges, including hiking through Yunnan province's jungles. Eighteen of them will go on to the second round, and three final winners will be recruited by Yunnan Special Armed Police.
The show, co-produced by Yunnan Satellite TV and Changsha, Hunan province-based Tianze Media, is broadcast daily from Feb 7 to 10. It will later become a weekly show that airs every Friday. The first season ends in May.
