To be a star you need to have thick skin, or armor

Singer Sun Yue is making a splash with her comeback but appears to have got it wrong by looking like US pop idol Lady Gaga.
The 40-year-old mom has appeared in a series of bold, strange outfits, no more so than the armor she turned up in for a recent TV gala. Sun seemed pleased with her new look and posted a picture on her micro blog - but most people were of the opinion she looked like something had gone wrong.
They mocked her by referring to one of her signature tunes, I Hope You are Alright; while Beijing TV program director Yu Shoushan posted the message, "Sun Yue, I hope you're alright?" which was retweeted more than 20,000 times.
Jackie Chan has been playing the media game for longer than most, but he still occasionally gets caught out.
Earlier this week the kungfu star was directing and starring in his latest action movie, 12 Zodiacs - said to be his final action movie - at Jinzun fishing port in Donghe, Taiwan.
His actress wife Joan Lin had been keeping an eye on him for a couple of days, but was not there to see him, reportedly, flirt with co-star Yao Xingtong.
According to various reports he tickled the actress, causing her to laugh, trip and almost fall. Chan's quick reactions enabled him to hold onto her waist and prevent her from dropping to the ground, but it looked like the couple was being intimate.
No doubt, Chan will be able to laugh the incident off, as he has on many other occasions.
Hong Kong actress Jessica Hsuan has been criticized for being a diva after releasing a statement on Wednesday panning the mainland film crew on her latest soap opera The Story of Xiangzi.
She called the process of filming the "most eventful shooting experience" of her career, complaining that she was expected to attend an excessive number of dinner parties with dignitaries.
She farther claimed that she wasn't paid on time and added that her fans were falsely lured to attend a press conference for another star of the soap opera. She said her family was harassed and that she was lied to and disrespected.
Her criticisms are not likely to make her friends in the mainland movie business, which has responded by saying Hsuan "put on airs" and was uncooperative.
Another Hong Kong actress who has caused a problem with her paymasters, this time at the broadcaster TVB, is Fala Chen.
The actress made a promising debut in 2006 but has been "shelved" due to her "bad attitude and temper".
Her change in attitude was, reportedly, because of her alleged secret marriage to the prosperous KTV chain owner Sit Sai-hang, which was accompanied by a multi-million dollar dowry.
Happy ever after? Not likely. Chen has not conceived a child and the Sit family is, according to a number of commentators, unhappy about the situation.
