Dev Patel is Freida Pinto's "action hero".

The pair have been dating since meeting on the set of 2007 movie 'Slumdog Millionaire', and the actress loves her boyfriend's down-to-earth attitude, particularly the way he reacts towards other celebrities.

She said: "He's my own action hero. He is one of the cutest, cutest boys I have ever met, very down-to-earth, very humble and so unaffected by everything that has happened.

"It is really funny when you introduce him to any celebrity he just goes like a little kid and jumps about all over the place."

The 26-year-old beauty also revealed Dev's idea of a perfect date is very different to hers, as while she would like to be whisked abroad, he is happy to visit chain restaurants.

Freida added to Look magazine: "We went out to get a bite a while back and he said, 'I'll take you to this really cool place to eat' and he took me to TGI Fridays.

"The most romantic thing he could do would probably be to arrange a trip to Tuscany. That would be amazing."
