Jason Statham has sold his $2.7 million bachelor pad.

The 'Expendables' actor - who bought the property in the Hollywood Hills in 2005 for $2.4 million - is building a love nest in the same area to share with his model-and-actress girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

The contemporary single-storey post-and-beam house - containing three bedrooms and three bathrooms - has floor-to-ceiling glass walls at the back which lead out to a pool and seating area and sold quickly after going on the market in May.

Sources say Jason, 43, is keen to move as the home is very much his taste and he wants something to represent both him and Rosie, 23, who he has been dating since last year.

A real estate source said: "The house has a very macho feel to it.

"You can image that Jason would have felt comfortable there. The decor is sleek and modern. It's an amazing place but Jason wants to move somewhere new that suits Rosie's style as well."

The actor - who previously dated model Kelly Brook - purchased some land in the same area to build a brand new home on a much larger scale.
