Dec Donnelly has ended his relationship with Georgie Thompson.

The 'Britain's Got Talent' host and Sky Sports presenter have split up after two years of dating because Dec wasn't ready to settle down and get married, according to a friend of the 35-year-old star.

The pal said: "There were no big rows, it just reached the stage where they had to decide where it was going. They love each other dearly but couldn't see it turning into a marriage.

"Georgie is 34 this year and, like most women at that age, is thinking about marriage and kids. Dec just isn't thinking like that."

Soon after the pair started dating, Georgie hinted she wanted a "football team" of kids with the TV personality.

She said: "Things are going brilliantly with Dec. I come from a happy home, so I want marriage and kids. In fact, I want a football team worth of kids."

Another cause of the break-up is said to be that the brunette beauty wanted to move in with Dec but he preferred to carry on living separately.

The friend added: "Most people in a relationship that long would have moved in together - but they didn't."

"He's a very private person and likes living on his own."

Dec said he was "upset" about the split but refused to disclose why the relationship came to an end.

Speaking outside his home on April 4, he said: "I honestly don't want to go into why we split."

His spokesman said there was no one else involved and the pair are still good friends.
