14th Asia Arts Festival draws world's attention to Quanzhou

International Puppet Show Festival is one of the highlights of the festival where 25 troupes (16 of them from China) will present their skills. Around 60 performances will be given in 35 different venues.
Another highlight is the cultural heritage exhibition of the Maritime Silk Road. Showcasing different forms of artworks from more than 30 countries along the historical route, the event features paintings, photograph, handicrafts and videos with 250 exhibits on display.
In addition, cultural celebrities such as Nobel Prize laureate Mo Yan and well-known Chinese writer Yu Qiuyu will attend a series of cultural forums while exploring different perspective of cultural exchanges with representatives from more than 12 countries.
The festival runs until Nov 15.
