The general restoration project for the ancient town of Dukezong which caught fire in January of 2014 has been well underway. The whole project, which is worth 1.2 billion yuan (196 million US dollars), is expected to be finished in 2016. Dukezong, eastablished more than 1,300 years ago, is known for its Tibetan-style architectures.
