Modern ink art exhibition Inkchronicity teams up four artists from China and Malaysia who have been experimenting with the many approaches to the category of ink and wash.
Li Hao challenges the traditional rules of ink painting in his abstraction works. Zhong Yaoying diluted the ink with a lot of water to test the tolerance of rice paper. Qi Yu works with pottery to diversify the presentation of ink paintings.
Hong Kong-based Malaysian painter and calligrapher C.N.Liew incorporates the caoshu (cursive script) style in calligraphy. The exhibition runs until March 10 at Galerie du Monde in Central, Hong Kong.
