Writers from Hebei province and Macao are specially featured, as they're to present a series of literature events. The Hebei group include renowned authors such as Tie Ning, Wang Meng and Li Jingze.
Children's books are so dynamic in the world publishing scene that the BIBF features a special zone for the young readers.
Boasting "Turkey in All Its Colors", the guest country of honor of the 2014 fair is to bring in a delegation of 200 members to Beijing, including 10 writers, said Tayfun Sener, cultural counselor at Turkish Embassy in Beijing.
Twenty Turkish publishers are to present 8,000 titles to the audience at the fair, once again connecting the two cultures after they had been tied together thousands of years ago by the Silk Road.
"Our advertisement on the flight magazines of Turkish Airlines about Turkey's appearance at BIBF has attracted some 3 million readers," Sener said.
"I hope the international audience here will feel the Turkish culture by looking at our booths and exhibitions," he said, adding Turkish coffee will be served at the booth to add delight for fair visitors.
