The 20th Furniture China Expo will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from Sept 10 to 14. Every year, about 100,000 visitors from 150 countries and regions participate in the showcase for furniture and furnishings.

This year, more foreign brands than ever will be displaying their products while domestic furniture makers will be focusing on original design fine quality and craftsmanship.

Recipients for The Gold Idea Awards for outstanding original furniture designers of China will be announced during the expo. Designs will be judged not only by appearance but also structure, function and quality, says Wang Mingliang, founder of the Furniture China Expo.
