Chinese Calligraphy, an established step-by-step set of textbooks on the title subject is releasing its international versions, the Sino-Culture Press announced during the First International Cultural Festival for Chinese Calligraphy on Sunday.
Translations will be available in English, German, Italian, Spanish, Arabic and Persian before the end of this year.
The six-volume teaching set will cover the art from its origin, development, varieties and to stories on calligraphy artists. It also features exercises that assure proper writing techniques.
Compiled and edited by Ouyang Zhongshi, the renowned calligrapher and director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the set's Chinese version has more than 30 million readers.
