Chinese city mayor under investigation

HEFEI -- The mayor of Hefei City, capital of east China's Anhui Province, has been put under investigation for suspected serious violation of discipline, according to provincial disciplinary authorities.

Zhang Qingjun, 52, started to serve as Hefei mayor in 2012 after working as director of the provincial land and resources department for nearly five years.
