BEIJING -- China will boost innovation through building demonstration bases.
The government will support demonstration bases for entrepreneurship and innovation and remove policy obstacles, according to a circular issued by the State Council, China's cabinet, on Thursday.
The bases will enjoy policy breaks on market expansion, intellectual property protection, finance and taxation, according to the circular.
A total of 28 bases are listed, including 17 regional demonstration bases such as Haidian District in Beijing; four university and research institute demonstration bases such as Tsinghua University, and seven corporate demonstration bases such as home appliance maker Haier.
