Chen Run'er nominated candidate to Henan governor

ZHENGZHOU -- Chen Run'er was nominated Saturday as the candidate for governor of central China's Henan province.
Chen was also appointed deputy secretary of the Henan Provincial Commmittee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), according to a senior provincial officials meeeting where the decision of the CPC Central Committee was announced.
Chen, 59, is a native of Chaling of Hunan Province. He was deputy secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee.
