Cabinet appoints, removes officials

BEIJING - The State Council, China's Cabinet, announced the appointment and the removal of several senior government officials on Monday.
The State Council appointed Liu Shiyu chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, removing Xiao Gang from the post.
Wang Baoan was relieved from the post of head of the National Bureau of Statistics.
Han Yong will no longer hold the post of political commissar of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
