Dozens of onlookers, curious about his experience, asked to take a photo with Chen, including a British Airways stewardess.
Bustle and astir as it seems, Chen felt lonely during most of the journey that stretched across the supercontinent of Eurasia. His only company was the tricycle, which is also a home for him where he eats and sleeps.

Chen once rode on Singapore's streets in the high temperatures above 40 degree Celsius. His shirt was soaked with salt marsh all over it.
He shivered over a freezing night in the mountainous area on the border line of Iran in the low temperatures of 38 degrees Celsius below zero. The cold was irresistible, even though he put up three cotton-padded jackets.
In Thailand, Chen encountered a great flood. The water rose to his chest and he was forced to drag the tricycle for nearly 20 kilometers.
