A national-level health and family planning cultural promotion platform was launched in Beijing on Thursday.
The platform aims to publicize the authoritative health and family planning policies and information, attract health cultural funds, assemble health experts and professionals, and provide a space for health writers and artists to communicate and learn from each other.
The move is the latest practice to push forward the "Healthy China" strategy, a concept that first appeared in the guideline for the 13th Five-year Plan last November.
The platform start-up meeting also announced it would collect short videos advocating a "Healthy China".
Several health themed films and television programs were introduced in the meeting, including a full-length documentary China's Hospitals in a Hundred Years, TV programs Anecdotes of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Family doctor and TV series Doctor Norman Bethune in China.
The platform has built a mechanism to support the health themed literary and artistic works in finance, innovative creation and promotion, said Mao Qun'an, Head of Department of Communications, National Health and Family Planning Commission.
Mao added that the platform serves as a bridge between health employees and the rest of society.
