Tourists in Shanghai now have new options for shopping souvenirs to complement the usual choices such as fried beans and silk products. A gift set comprising a coloring book inspired from the popular Secret Garden and 24 pencils was awarded the top design gong at this year’s Shanghai Tourism Souvenir Design Contest and it is now available in several major scenic spots in the city. The coloring book contains 16 pictures of famous attractions in Shanghai, including the Bund, Yuyuan Garden and a wildlife park. Other entrants to the contest that received awards include a fan, a card holder and a wine bottle plug, all of which feature elements of Shanghai culture. Provided to China Daily
