Exhibition showcases Shaanxi cultural relics

An exhibition showcasing foreign exchanges of cultural relics in Shaanxi in the past 50 years opened to the public for free in Shaanxi History Museum in Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province, on Thursday.
Sponsored by the museum and Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Exchange Association, the two-month-long exhibition displays 30 groups and pieces of cultural relics which were often sent overseas for exhibition and exchanges and rare photos and videos to show the stage results of Shaanxi's foreign exchanges of cultural relics in past 50 years.
Visitors can enjoy precious cultural relics unearthed in Shaanxi province from the exhibition as well as learn the results of Chinese and foreign cooperation for cultural relics protection.
Shaanxi is one of the important birthplaces of Chinese nation and Chinese culture with a long history and profound culture. With the fame of natural historical museum, Shaanxi witnessed a large number of high grade cultural relics unearthed, which are the precious wealth of Chinese nation. The cultural relics unearthed in Shaanxi represent Chinese culture and precious achievement of human civilization.
The work of Shaanxi's cultural relics to go abroad for exchanges and cooperation started in 1960s and achieved great development in relics' exhibitions and relics' protection cooperation in and with foreign countries. At present, Shaanxi's relics have become a beautiful name card of Chinese culture and an important window for other nations all over the world to understand China.
