BEIJING - President Xi Jinping has warned comrades in the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee not to have any sense of superiority regarding their power or status.
Xi, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at a meeting of the political bureau held on Monday and Tuesday during which members discussed measures to strengthen Party discipline and clean governance.
It was raised at the meeting that misconduct of disgraced officials, including Zhou Yongkang, Bo Xilai, Xu Caihou, Guo Boxiong and Ling Jihua, showed that a Party member might as well loose his or her Party spirit, if they relax self-discipline.
