Proposals from national legislators fully addressed

BEIJING - Proposals raised by deputies of the National People's Congress (NPC) at the annual parliamentary session in March have been handled well, said the NPC Standing Committee Thursday.
According to a report delivered to the NPC Standing Committee, deputies raised 8,239 proposals at the March session.
Of the proposals, 134 were raised by 22 delegations as a collective effort, an increase of 27.6 percent from the year before, according to the report.
In addition, the solution to 61.4 percent of the proposals needed collaboration among multiple authorities and they cooperated well, the report said.
In content, the proposals raised by the deputies were focused on issues including rule of law, food safety and air pollution.
The proposals have been handed over to 186 organs and about 80.1 percent of the problems pointed out by the deputies in their proposals had been addressed or are being addressed, according to the report.
