May 23, 2015 - Xi stresses information technology for education innovations
Xi called for reform and innovation in education in line with development of information and communication technology (ICT) to make people receive education "anytime, anywhere".
Xi made the remarks in a congratulatory letter to the International Conference on ICT and Post-2015 Education.
Xi noted that modern information technologies have been changing the way people think, work, live and study, presenting a prospect for the future world.
According to Xi, China has been making efforts to push forward ICT to expand the coverage of quality education, vowing to reduce urban-rural and regional gaps and improve education equality and willing to expand international cooperation and exchange with other countries.
