Exhibition tells of Ordos Mongolia history

An exhibition to introduce the Ordos Mongolia history and culture created by Genghis Khan was held from Tuesday to Feb 15, 2016 in Shaanxi History Museum in Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province.
Entitled "The Magic lamp that never goes out for 800 years", the exhibition is jointly sponsored by Shaanxi History Museum and Ordos Museum in Inner Mongolia, which gradually became the home of the Ordos tribe which guarded the palace and court of Genghis Khan from the 13th century.
The Mongolians living in Ordos passed this culture from generation to generation, including the worship of Lord Genghis Khan, the supreme sacrifice culture of the Mongol Dynasty, original palace culture and traditional grassland nomadic culture of Mongolian Khanate, and created unique characteristics of Ordos Mongolian history and culture.
Ordos is one of the places where Mongolia traditional etiquette culture is best preserved and the exhibition introduces many kinds of folk culture preserved by Ordos Mongolian since 13th century by displaying more than 200 pieces with unique features of Ordos Mongolia cultural relics, to tell the essence of Mongolia culture in Ordos left by Genghis Khan.
The exhibition is one of the cultural exchange projects between the two museums. Early this year, Shaanxi History Museum held an exhibition of China ancient horse culture in Ordos Museum and the exhibition started on Tuesday is a return from Ordos Museum. The exhibitions enhanced the cultural exchanges exploring the inheritance and protection of the Chinese nation’s history and culture between Shaanxi province and Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
