A man in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province presented China's most expensive "roses" to his beloved.
The man, surnamed Chen, proposed to his girlfriend with 999 roses made from 100-yuan banknotes and succeeded in gaining her hand.
The arrangement cost about 200,000 yuan ($32,980), which he has been saving since he started working in 2009.
Instead of bare cash, the man in our next story sought the help of modern technology.
