Chinese defense minister to visit ROK, Thailand

BEIJING-- Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister Chang Wanquan will make official friendly visits to the Republic of Korea and Thailand from Feb 3 to 7.
Chang is invited by the ROK Defense Minister Han Min-koo and Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Prawit Wongsuwan, Defense Ministry spokesman Yang Yujun told a press briefing Thursday.
Chang will make in-depth exchange of views with leaders of the governments and armed forces of the two countries on bilateral defense cooperation and other affairs of common concern, according to Yang, adding that it aims at pushing forward bilateral ties.
